Neptune Equip is for students and families who are serious about the Bible. We offer biblical Equipping Classes that are specifically designed to help middle and high school students grow in wisdom, discernment, and a deep knowledge of God’s Word. Centered on the preeminence of Christ in all things, these classes seek to strengthen students spiritually, intellectually, and practically for faithful Christian living.
Unlike a para-church program, Neptune Equip is a ministry of Neptune Baptist Church rooted in and accountable to this local church and its leadership. Because the ministry flows directly from the church’s teaching and shepherding, biblical truth can be taught clearly, boldly, and without compromise. The goal is not merely academic instruction, but, God willing, character development through the power of the Spirit and Word.
We desire to partner with families committed to Christ, His church, and the faithful Christian education of their children. The focus of these classes is the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry (Eph 4:12), rather than evangelism. As such, we anticipate participating families will already be laying a strong biblical foundation in their homes and at their churches.
At Neptune Equip, we do not seek to provide STEM instruction, as there are many excellent programs, including online courses and dual enrollment opportunities, that already serve those areas well. Rather, our focus is on doing what the church is uniquely called to do and what no other institution can truly replace: the faithful instruction of God’s Word unto biblical wisdom, spiritual maturity, and the equipping of the saints.
A central aim of the program is to provide students with qualified instructors who possess expertise in their fields and, where appropriate, relevant academic degrees. Instruction will emphasize a seminar-style format, fostering thoughtful discussion, careful reasoning, testing, and other tools designed to cultivate deep understanding and intellectual maturity.
Tuition is free of charge. Families are responsible for procuring the relevant books for each class (booklist to be given upon acceptance into the program).
